I will teach your child to roll onto their back to float, rest and breathe, and to maintain this life-saving position until help arrives. Here is what the rollback to float will look like for your baby:
What Your Child Will Learn (Swim-Float-Swim for children 1-6 years)
I will teach your child the swim-float-swim survival sequence. Children learn to swim with their head down; roll onto their back to float, rest, and breathe; and roll back over to resume swimming until they reach the side of the pool, where they can either crawl out or until they can be rescued. Here is what the swim-float-swim sequence will look like for your child:
Statics indicate that 86% of children who fall into water are fully clothed. Therefore, when your child is fully skilled they will practice their ISR survival skills while fully clothed.
